Nursery technique

Seed is sown in shaded nursery beds in January- February at the rate of 30 gm/m2 of bed area. Germination is profuse to remove congestion, seedling should be pricked out when 5-8 cm high in another nursery bed. Seedlings are ready for planting out in January-July of the same year. Nursery shade is removed about 2 weeks before planting out.
