Nursery technique | Seed viability is one year. No of seeds per kg is 7000 seeds approx. (Dry wt.). Seeds are soaked in water for 2-3 days. After that they are sundried and put in polypot or mother bed. The medium for polypot/mother bed is prepared consisting of sand, river silt, vermicompost/cowdung in 1:1:1 proportion. A temporary shade should be arranged to cover the seeds so that rain does not hamper the growth and seeds don’t get buried deep.
