Nursery technique | Pre-treated seeds are sown broadcast in shaded nursery beds, as soon as possible after collection. Germination starts early in 2-3 weeks. Seedlings are pricked out with ball of earth 8cm x 8cm, in unshaded beds as soon as seedlings are big enough to handle, during monsoon rains of the same year. Watering is done daily till germination, and on alternate days thereafter. Beds should be kept well weeded. Plants are fit for planting out in the rainy season the same year. |
