Nursery technique | Seed viability is 6 months- 1 year. No. of seeds per kfg is 330-500 fruit (Dry. Wt.). Seeds are kept in earth pits for a week or soaked in hot water for 10-20 mins for the pulp to get rotten. After this process, the seeds are sundried, until they are cracked and good quality seeds are collected for sowing in mother bed or dibbling in polypot. The medium for mother bed or polypot is prepared consisting of sand, river silt, vermicompost/cowdung in 1:1:1 proportion. |
